Job summary

Prevea Health in Green Bay, WI seeks a Back Licensed Athletic Trainer/Physician Extender to join our orthopedics team. The role is full-time, focusing on clinical patient care within scope of practice, and works 40 hours per week with no nights or weekends.

The Physician Extender will assist physicians with exams, diagnostics, and procedures, while educating patients and coordinating care across departments to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Athletic Training required.
• Licensed athletic trainer with Wisconsin NATA-BOC certification on hire.
• Knowledge of musculoskeletal assessment and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform physical exams to support diagnosis.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including musculoskeletal ultrasound and injections.
• Provide pre- and post-operative education and therapeutic exercises.
• Coordinate referrals, tests, and follow-up care with other providers.
• Maintain accurate patient records and case documentation.
• Assist with scheduling surgeries, tests, and pre-certification for procedures.
