The Physician Extender collaborates with physicians to assess, diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and other conditions, performing exams, tests, and procedures while educating patients and coordinating care across departments.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Athletic Training is required.
• State licensure as Athletic Trainer (WI NATA-BOC) required upon hire.
• CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers required upon hire.

Aufgaben

• Patient assessment: conduct histories, physical exams, interpret findings to assist diagnosis.
• Clinical support: assist physicians with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and ultrasound.
• Patient education: provide pre/post-operative education and guidance on exercises/equipment.
• Referrals & communication: coordinate with physicians for referrals and tests.
• Medical documentation: maintain accurate patient records and test results.
• Scheduling & coordination: assist with scheduling surgeries/tests and pre-certification.
