Job summary

Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics seeks a Physical Therapist to join our staff therapy team. The PT administers treatment based on evaluations to restore function and relieve pain for patients with musculoskeletal and related conditions.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a decentralized organization.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with self-discipline and patience.
• Proficiency with Windows-based office technologies (Word, Excel).
• Thorough knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing practices.
• Thorough knowledge of Workers' Compensation insurance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism.
• Fluent English communication in reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care 100% of work time with documentation in medical records.
• Conducts comprehensive evaluations to determine course of care for each patient.
• Performs tests and measurements such as strength, ROM, sensory, functional capacity.
• Administers PT treatments and monitors progress to improve function and reduce pain.
• Meets or exceeds CAO productivity standards and documents outcomes.
• Assesses treatment progress every 30 days and adjusts plan as needed.
• Documents treatments, responses, progress, and outcomes per regulations and CAO rules.
• Selects CPT codes and submits billing charges consistent with care provided.
• Adheres to insurance guidelines, authorizations, and treatment plans.
• Supervises PT assistants and therapy staff; coordinates with students as applicable.
• Collaborates with other providers to ensure optimal patient recovery.
• Participates in therapy team meetings, CAO events, webinars and trainings.
• Contributes to clinic operations and may work at other CAO locations as needed.
