Job summary

Franciscan Health Orthopedic Hospital Carmel in Carmel, IN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Carmel Orthopedic Operating Room. You will prepare instrument trays, assist with patient prep, and pass instruments to surgeons during procedures.

Required NBSTSA CST certification, High School Diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of surgery experience. BLS within 90 days is required. This is a full-time day-shift position with opportunities for professional development.

• 1 year of surgical experience required.
• BLS within 90 days required.

Responsibilities

• Arrange instrument trays.
• Prepare sterile drapes and solutions.
• Assist with prep of patients as needed.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and surgical assistants.
• May assist with sponge, needle, and other supply counts to track materials used in surgery.
• May operate suction, diagnostic, and sterilizing equipment, and package specimens for lab analysis.
