Job summary

SPORTS MEDICINE NORTH ORTHOPAEDIC in Peabody, MA is seeking an experienced surgical technologist to support OR operations. You will assist the RN in care plans, perform scrub duties, and maintain aseptic technique while ensuring patient safety and efficient instrument handling.

Required are a surgical technologist certification and 1–3 years OR experience; familiarity with EMR, HIPAA, and office procedures is essential. A comprehensive benefits package and sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved surgical technologist certification program.
• 1–3 years operating room experience; ambulatory setting a plus.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, and related policies.
• Experience with electronic medical records and medical office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in implementing a care plan in the Operating Room.
• Performs scrub duties under supervision.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and organize instruments.
• Anticipate surgeon’s needs and hand tools and supplies promptly.
• Prepare and decontaminate room and equipment between cases.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, and safety throughout procedures.
