Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced OR Circulator RN to join our orthopedic-focused surgery center. The role emphasizes patient care in the operating room, particularly for orthopedics, with day shifts and no on-call requirements. This full-time position requires a BSN, CT RN license, and at least 2 years circulating experience (1 year in orthopedics).

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Connecticut RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years circulating experience, including 1 year orthopedics.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgery, set up instruments and equipment, maintain sterile conditions.
• Adhere to safety standards, verify patient identity, review procedures to prevent errors.
• Assess patients pre-op (NPO) and comfort them; reduce anxiety.
• Assist surgeons during surgery by passing instruments and supplies.
• Coordinate with surgical team to ensure patient safety during operation.
• Monitor vitals and maintain patient safety during the operation.
• Coordinate post-operative care and room turnover.
