Qualifications

• Experience in surgical environments (ASC, hospital OR, or office-based operatory).
• Strong understanding of CPT/HCPCS coding principles and surgical documentation requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with physicians, clinical teams, and revenue cycle professionals.
• Knowledge of EHR systems and revenue integrity practices.

Responsibilities

• Surgical coding & charge capture using CPT/HCPCS and modifiers.
• Review operative documentation for coding accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with surgeons to validate procedures and billing requirements.
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies or missing documentation before claims submission.
• Reconcile supply and implant records for accurate charge capture.
• Audit cases to improve reimbursement and minimize revenue leakage.
