Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with valid Illinois RN license.
• CRRN due within 6 months of hire; BLS certification required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership support to nurse manager for unit daily management and program management.
• Monitors staffing and resources to assure quality patient care within a shift or time frame.
• Maintains safe staffing levels through just-in-time recruitment.
• Assists with interviews, scheduling and evaluations of nursing staff.
• Monitors staff adherence to standards and provides feedback and formal counseling when needed.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Supports budgeting, expense control and daily unit charges; helps with policy development.
• Educates and trains staff; ensures mandatory education and competency.
• Leads staff huddles, orientation, and onboarding of new staff; coordinates with HR.
