The successful candidate will have a BSN, be licensed as an RN in Illinois, and possess 2+ years in a clinical specialty, with CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Facilitates unit operations on a shift in accordance with policy and regulations.
Coordinates shift staffing to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care.
Directs patient care provided by staff nurses and support personnel on a shift.
Champions initiatives and participates in committees.
Communicates with patients and significant others about nursing care.
Ensures safe, quality, and efficient care; responds to needs of patients.
Monitors patient responses and progress toward outcomes.
Performs ongoing assessments of patients and learning needs.
Ensures environment is safe and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Identifies issues and recommends improvements to managers.
