Job summary

VillageMD is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians with patient care, room preparation, and efficient patient flow across clinics and satellite offices.

The role requires a High School Diploma or MA/phlebotomy program, BLS (or within 30 days), and strong English communication. 0-1 year experience is required, 2-4 years preferred, with travel to satellite offices as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination rooms and escorts patients.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and accurate records.
• Documents vitals and medications in the EHR.
• Updates allergy lists and medication information in the EHR.
• Schedules appointments and supports medical staff in PMS/EHR.
• Provides referrals and smooth care transitions as needed.
