Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in an orthopedic setting. The MA will prepare patients, assist with procedures such as casting and wound care, and maintain accurate EMR documentation.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinic environment. Orthopedic experience and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification or completion of an accredited MA program preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
• Current CPR certification (CPR, BLS) required.
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred.
• Three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits and assist with examinations.
• Assist with orthopedic procedures such as casting, bracing, and wound care.
• Document thoroughly in EMR within 24 hours of visit.
• Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures per protocol.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies; ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Provide pre- and post-visit education to patients.
