Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Orthopedic Technician/Medical Assistant to support physicians across multiple locations. You will perform wound care, injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, casting, and assist with ultrasound procedures, ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record.

Minimum education includes an AHN-approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent training. Travel to satellite sites may be required to maintain clinic workflow and high-quality patient care.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proof of graduation from an AHN approved Medical Assistant School within five years of hire or graduate from an accredited athletic training education program or equivalent experience.

Aufgaben

• Assists physicians and extenders with orthopedic practice locations.
• Performs wound care, dressings, EKGs, suture/staple removal, cast/splint application and removal, injections, vaccines, botox, phlebotomy, and assist with ultrasound procedures.
• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients, document health information, take medical histories, and order radiographs as directed.
• Document all details in the electronic health record and review patient allergies, medications, and histories.
• Educate patients on wound care, pin care, cast care, and postoperative care; prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies.
• Travel to satellite locations to support physicians; perform other duties as assigned.
