Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an Ortho Technician/Medical Assistant to support orthopedic clinics. You will assist physicians, perform wound and cast care, conduct basic procedures, and help manage patient flow and documentation in the EHR system.

Position requires 3–5 years of related experience and completion of an AHN-approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent. Travel to satellite locations is required, with emphasis on patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from AHN approved Medical Assistant program within five years of hire or equivalent medical training.
• 3–5 years’ experience as an Ortho Technician, Medical Assistant, or ATC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and extenders in orthopedic practice locations.
• Perform wound care, dressings, EKGs, suture/staple removal, casts/splints handling, injections, phlebotomy, and PRP ultrasound support.
• Coordinate patient care under supervision and prepare rooms and chart reviews.
• Document patient information in EHR and maintain supply inventory.
• Travel to satellite locations to support physicians.

AHN Medical Assistant School graduation within five years of hire

Graduate from an accredited athletic training education program
