Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Ortho Technician to assist physicians with orthopedic practice locations. This role involves providing medical and clerical support, performing wound care and EKGs, and documenting patient information accurately.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma, certification, and preferably 3-5 years of relevant experience. Essential duties include educating patients and ensuring accurate electronic health records during patient visits.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification or Athletic Trainer Licensure required within 120 days of hire.
• 3-5 years’ experience as an Ortho Technician, Medical Assistant, or ATC preferred.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical and clerical support.
• Perform wound care, EKGs, and other procedures.
• Document patient information and maintain electronic records.
• Educate patients on wound and postoperative care.
• Travel to satellite locations as needed.
