Highmark Health's Allegheny Health Network seeks an Orthopedic Technician/Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support across orthopedic locations. Responsibilities include wound care, EKGs, cast care, injections, phlebotomy, and assisting ultrasound procedures.

The role requires Medical Assistant certification or athletic trainer licensure with HIPAA compliance and the ability to travel to satellite locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from AHN-approved Medical Assistant School within five years.
• Or graduate from accredited athletic training program.
• Certification training and/or testing within 30 days of hire (as applicable).

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians with wound care, dressings, injections, and cast care.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and support ultrasound procedures.
• Prepare and room patients; document health info and medications.
• Order radiographs and document in the electronic health record.
• Maintain clinic workflow and inventory of medical supplies.
• Travel to satellite locations to support physicians.
