Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in an ambulatory clinic setting. The MA will work under physician supervision, assist in preparing patients for examinations, and ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic.

Responsibilities include collecting patient data, recording vital signs in EPIC, assisting with procedures, maintaining aseptic technique, and coordinating room supplies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is required.
• Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, AMT, NAHP) within 180 days of hire.
• Current CPR certification is required and must be maintained.

Responsabilités

• Collects patient information at intake and records vital signs in EPIC.
• Assists with examinations and patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
• Performs chart reviews and assists practitioners with procedures.
• Maintains aseptic techniques and infection control throughout clinical tasks.
• Stocking, organizing, and maintaining exam rooms and supplies.
• Occasional travel to other JHU Orthopaedic locations or evening shifts.

Formation

High School diploma or GED

Completion of accredited Medical Assistant training program

Certification/Registration as Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, AMT, NAHP)

Current CPR certification (AHA/Red Cross)
