Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our Winston-Salem orthopedics team. You will provide clinical athletic training services in local clinics, manage patient history, evaluate injuries, and assist with procedures under physician supervision.

Requirements include a CAATE-accredited degree, BOC certification, and licensure or eligibility within 30 days. Travel to clinic locations may be required; EPIC EMR documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training from CAATE program.
• Current BOC athletic trainer certification.
• Licensed or eligible for state license within 30 days of hire.
• CPR/BLS and AED training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical athletic training services in orthopaedic clinics.
• Room patients and obtain medical history.
• Perform injury evaluation and functional assessment.
• Order imaging as directed by providers.
• Assist with injections and wound care.
• Fit and instruct on braces, splints, and DME.
• Support physicians during procedures and concussion testing.
• Document clinic notes in EPIC with accuracy.
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Participate in patient education and data collection.
