Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem Orthopedics is seeking a certified athletic trainer for a full-time clinical role in the university group practice. The position may require travel to local orthopedics clinic locations and involves on-site athletic training services in a busy orthopedic setting.

Qualifications include a CAATE-accredited Bachelor's in Athletic Training, current BOC certification, and licensure eligibility within 30 days of hire, plus ability to complete BLS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training from CAATE program.
• Current athletic training certification by BOC.
• Licensed or eligible for State Licensure within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to complete AHA Healthcare Provider (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical athletic training services in orthopaedic clinics.
• Room patients and obtain medical history.
• Perform clinical injury evaluation and determine function.
• Order x-rays/imaging as directed by providers.
• Prepare injections as directed by provider.
• Assist physician with procedures and wound care.
• Instruct patients on braces, casts, and DME use.
• Conduct concussion testing and education.
