Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC, seeks an Athletic Trainer to serve in a physician extender role. The ATC evaluates and treats athletic injuries, performs taping, bracing, fitting, and implements prescribed treatments under the team physician's guidance.

This full-time, onsite position features a $10,000 Commitment Incentive paid in 6 installments over 3 years. Requires Bachelor's degree, ATC, NC licensure or eligibility within 6 months, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification.
• Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the North Carolina Board or license eligible with license within 6 months.
• BLS for healthcare providers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Casting and Patient Care including splints, braces, crutches and related education.
• Disability paperwork handling and timely patient communications.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and therapeutic exercises.
• Obtain patient information, review test results, and order appropriate tests as indicated.
