Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a qualified Athletic Trainer to provide on-site medical coverage for collegiate and professional events in Winston-Salem, NC. You will participate in the Sports Medicine Team, offer acute on-field care, and manage rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions.

The role requires CAATE-accredited athletic training education, BOC certification, and active licensure or eligibility within 30 days, plus BLS CPR/AED within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training from CAATE-accredited program.
• Current BOC certification.
• Licensed or eligible for state athletic training license within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to complete AHA BLS CPR/AED within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services at collegiate/professional events as needed.
• Assist with event coverage within the Sports Medicine Team.
• Provide acute care on-field during practices or events.
• Deliver clinical athletic training services in local clinics as needed.
• Perform on-site assessment and immediate care in illness/injury situations.
• Evaluate injury and determine functional status and medical decisions.
• Develop and implement treatment, rehab, taping, and protective strategies.
• Plan objectives and assess program effectiveness over time.
• Collaborate with directing physician and determine return-to-play standards.
• Maintain daily treatment logs, injury reports, and medical inventory.
