Job summary

OrthoCarolina’s Belmont office is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant to support orthopedic patient care in a busy outpatient setting. This role emphasizes accurate documentation in EPIC, patient teaching, triage, and coordination with physicians to ensure efficient operations and high-quality care.

Qualified candidates have accredited medical assisting training or equivalent certification, CPR, and a willingness to travel to other OC locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduates of medical assisting, athletic training, or nursing programs with certification.
• Certification is required for this role.
• Experience with electronic medical records (Epic) is preferred.
• Strong communication and patient education skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Updating clinical notes in electronic medical systems (EPIC).
• Completing phone triage and coordinating patient care.
• Casting and bracing as directed by clinician.
• Performing routine office procedures and assisting with injections.
• Educating patients and families about care plans.
