Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Asheboro orthopedics/surgery clinic. The role supports exam prep, laboratory procedures, and patient care under physician supervision.

Expect 40 hours per week, with Monday–Friday schedules and rotating Saturdays, in a benefits-eligible setting. Required are graduation from an accredited MA program, BLS certification, and current MA certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or NRMA).

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or NRMA/etc.) required.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients; record vital signs and health information.
• Perform lab procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with procedures and patient care.
• Administer routine medications under orders or standing protocols.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care; communicate with team and patients.
• Support clinical operations and aging patient care pathways as needed.
