Job summary
Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Salisbury, NC for a full-time, 40-hour work week. The role supports Orthopedics, Surgery, and related clinics with patient intake, basic labs, phlebotomy, immunizations, and medication administration under physician supervision.

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Current Medical Assistant certification from CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or national equivalent is required.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and rooms patients for exams, records vital signs and health information.
- Performs routine laboratory procedures with aseptic technique.
- Assists physicians/APP with procedures and administers routine meds under orders.
- Ensures smooth clinic flow and communicates with the care team.
- May perform clinical support tasks under supervision.
