Job Overview

The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales goals within their territory. They build and maintain customer relationships through communication and in-person visits. The role requires expert knowledge of our product portfolio and consulting surgeons in the operating room regarding Arthrex products and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives for the territory, working with surgeons and healthcare professionals.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships; develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Communicate product updates and educational programs to current and new customers.
  • Implement sales plans and marketing strategies to meet/exceed objectives.
  • Cross-sell products and manage new product introductions.
  • Address issues at customer accounts.
  • Support compliance by maintaining confidentiality, acting ethically, and adhering to laws and policies.
  • Receive coaching and training; transfer knowledge to peers.
  • Maintain training in sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Collect competitive data and stay current on industry trends.
  • Participate in sales and professional meetings outside regular hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 3+ years orthopedic or related experience; sports experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
  • Comfortable in open operating room environments.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, and OR protocols.
  • Ability to learn technical information related to surgery.
  • Prior sales experience is a plus.

  • Ability to create effective business plans.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
