Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a patient-focused Surgery Scheduler. You will be the first point of contact for patients, scheduling surgical procedures and pre-op appointments while supporting providers and delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and at least one year of Surgery Scheduler or medical reception experience. The role involves obtaining insurance authorizations, managing consent forms, scheduling and rescheduling

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of Surgery Scheduler or Medical Reception experience
• Proficiency with check-in, check-out and phone handling
• Ability to obtain insurance authorizations

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments
• Obtain insurance authorizations and oversee consent forms
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
• Oversee provider schedule templates and input monthly schedules
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations
