Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to be the first point of contact for patients and to support providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings. You will lead scheduling for Schedulers I and II, assist with training and pilots, and contribute to patient care coordination.

Responsibilities include scheduling, authorizations, billing support, and data analysis to improve scheduling efficiencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years experience as a Surgery Scheduler.

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a customer-focused Surgery Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing support to providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings while helping create exceptional patient care. Provides leadership to Surgery Schedulers I and II. Contributes to work on pilots and projects, preparing analyses, and patient care coordination.

What You'll Do:

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtains insurance authorizations and oversees the management of consent forms for surgical procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversees Provider schedule templates and inputs monthly schedules.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
• Gathers data and analyzes scheduling efficiencies.
• Performs enhanced recovery and/of Surgical Home Coordination.

General Requirements:

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: None
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years’ of experience as a Surgery Scheduler
