Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a patient‑focused Surgery Scheduler in Chelsea, MI to join our team. You will be the first point of contact, supporting providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings to ensure smooth patient care.

You will schedule surgeries and tests, obtain authorizations, manage consent forms, and maintain daily office operations while assisting patients with paperwork and MyChart support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience performing Medical Reception core functions or 1 year as Surgery Scheduler preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre‑op appointments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and oversee consent forms for surgical procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversee provider schedule templates and input monthly schedules.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and day‑to‑day office operations.
