Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a patient-focused Surgery Scheduler to join our team in Michigan. You will be the first point of contact for patients, supporting providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings while helping create exceptional patient care.

You will provide leadership to Surgery Schedulers I and II and contribute to pilots and projects with data analyses and care coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Surgery Scheduler.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtains insurance authorizations and oversees consent forms for surgical procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversees Provider schedule templates and inputs monthly schedules.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
• Gathers data and analyzes scheduling efficiencies.
• Performs enhanced recovery and/of Surgical Home Coordination.
