Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and staff.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Verify active and correctly registered insurance for scheduled DOS.
• Update patient insurance info including copayments and financial obligations due at time of service.
• Communicate with patients about high deductibles and cash due.
• Notify patients of insurance issues and offer options.
• Create and manage referral modules tied to appointments.
• Obtain pre-certifications/authorizations via carriers and portals.
• Use Healow Messenger to notify patients about treatment requests.
• Coordinate care by faxing approvals and orders.
• Follow established workflows for workers' compensation and denials.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments based on coordination.
