Responsibilities

• Escort patients from waiting room to exam room.
• Take patient histories, chief complaints, vitals; prepare for examination and treatment.
• Review patient charts for completeness.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures (aspirations, injections, X-rays).
• Administer injections, remove casts, splints, and dressings as directed by physician.
• Prepare prescriptions as directed by physician.
• Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments.
• Coordinate patient surgeries including scheduling, insurance coverage and pre-certification.
• Respond to patient and payor inquiries by phone.
• Order and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
• Maintain patient files in the EHR and document as necessary.
• Participate in professional development activities and maintain affiliations.
