Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinics and clinical staff in delivering excellent patient care. You will escort patients, take histories, prepare exam rooms, document in the EHR, and assist with procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of medical assistant experience, CPR certification, and a patient‑first mindset. You thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment and are dependable and flexible to meet daily needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a medical assistant.
• Orthopaedic experience a plus.
• Demonstrated focus on patient experience and compassionate care.
• Energetic with a steady pace to manage patient flow.
• Flexible to accommodate varying daily schedules.
• Dependable and punctual with reliable attendance.
• CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients from waiting room to exam room.
• Take patient histories, chief complaints, vitals; prepare for exam and procedures.
• Review charts for completeness; prepare equipment for procedures.
• Administer injections and remove casts/dressings as directed by physician.
• Prepare prescriptions and assist with scheduling tests and treatments.
• Coordinate surgeries including scheduling and pre-certification when needed.
• Maintain patient files in the EHR and document as required.
• Respond to patient and payer inquiries and maintain supplies.
