Qualifications

• Experience as orthopedic cast technician or similar role.
• Experience with cast application and removal techniques.
• Knowledge of orthopedic terminology and procedures.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Preferred 2+ years in orthopedics.
• High school diploma; OTC or NCMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply, adjust and remove casts.
• Measure and fit braces and orthopedic devices.
• Assist Orthopedic Surgeon during examinations and procedures.
• Instruct patient in proper care of cast and walking with casts.
• Maintain EMR documentation of services.
