Job summary

The University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc. is seeking an Orthopaedic Technologist to assist physicians and nursing staff in patient care and treatment of orthopaedic patients, manage charts, and support patient flow.

Responsibilities include delegated casting, bracing, splinting, and clerical tasks; use of the electronic health record per SOP; CPR certification required; 3–5 years in an orthopaedic setting preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification as an Orthopedic Technologist (COT) is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years orthopaedic technologist and medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care and treatment of orthopaedic patients.
• Manage charts and patient flow; perform delegated tasks such as casting, bracing, and splinting.
• May perform clerical duties; utilize the electronic system per SOP and process.
