Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking a Casting Technician to provide skilled clinical support in the application, adjustment, and removal of orthopedic immobilization devices. You will work directly with patients and physicians in orthopedic clinics to ensure safe and effective treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.

This position requires technical abilities, knowledge of orthopedic procedures, and excellent patient-care skills. A High School diploma or GED and BLS certification are required, while previous orthopedic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of related orthopedic technician experience required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Apply fiberglass and plaster casts under physician direction.
• Assist with patient movement and workflow.
• Document interventions clearly and concisely.
