Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of direct orthopedic technician experience OR completion of one of the listed programs.
• BLS certification required.
• Casting experience includes casts, splints, or braces per note.

Responsibilities

• Apply fiberglass and plaster casts.
• Fit upper and lower extremity braces.
• Apply splints and create molds for custom braces.
• Remove sutures and staples.
• Support clinical care and patient flow in outpatient settings.
• Document interventions clearly and communicate with providers.
• Maintain equipment and clinical environment; restock as needed.
• Provide professional customer relations and patient education.
