Qualifications
Proven work experience as an Orthopedic Cast Technician or similar role.
Experience with cast application and removal techniques.
Knowledge of orthopedic terminology and procedures.
Demonstrated experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Preferred: minimum 2 years of Orthopedic Technician experience.
Responsibilities
Apply, adjust, and remove casts.
Measure and fit patients for braces and other orthopedic devices.
Assist the Orthopedic Surgeon with examinations and medical procedures.
Provide patient education and instruction as directed by the Physician.
Skills
Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures
Knowledge of medical terminology
Strong oral and written communication skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to maintain accurate records
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification as an Orthopedic Technologist (OTC) or Nationally Certified Medical Assistant
