Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join the Orthopedic Surgery team in a PRN capacity. The APP will work with surgeons, nurses, and other specialists to deliver patient-centered care in medical and surgical settings.

The role emphasizes collaboration and strong clinical skills, with licensure requirements and credentialing through the institution. Location and hours are negotiable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master’s Degree preferred
• Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, NCCPA certification (PA)
• Current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS
• DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing (start)

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations in medical/surgical settings.
• Collaborate with the medical team for team-based care.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostics; explain procedures to patients.
• Perform procedures per department guidelines; participate in research projects.
• Possibility to precept students or medical learners.
• Uphold Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist missions and values.
