The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia (UVA Health) invites applications for an Advanced Practice Provider within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. The role focuses on peri-operative orthopedic care for hip and knee conditions in a high-volume setting, with opportunities for leadership and education of staff.
Schedule is Monday–Friday with outpatient clinical duties and potential OR first assisting responsibilities; NCCPA board certification, FNP, VA license, and DEA are
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a masters degree.
- License or license eligible as an Advanced Practice Provider in Virginia. If Nurse Practitioner, RN license required.
- Current BLS; PALS/NRP and ACLS as required.
Responsabilités
- Administration: triage patient inquiries, follow-up on test results, and timely electronic communications.
- Professional: collaborate with colleagues, serve as a preceptor, and participate in staff education and quality meetings.
- Clinical: evaluate and manage pediatric orthopedic conditions, perform exams, order imaging/labs, injections, wound care, and coordinate follow-up care.
- Leadership: represent UVA Health and participate in leadership/process improvement initiatives.
