Dental One Associates in Annapolis, Maryland seeks an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support the clinical team and provide high-quality patient care in a team-based environment.

The role requires completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program, X-ray certification, and at least 1 year of experience. Part-time schedule: Thursday 9am–5pm, with benefits including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401(k), and opportunities for continuing education.

Responsabilidades

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies by supporting CPR readiness and emergency supplies.

• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Assistant - Required
• 1 year on-the-job-experience - Required
• X-Ray certification - Required
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
