Job summary

College Park Dental in Maryland is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support the clinical team in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, manage radiographs, and educate patients on oral care.

Candidates must have a one-year certified dental assistant program, X-ray certification, and at least one year of experience; bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Core benefits include health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, plus a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• 1 year on-the-job experience.
• X-Ray certification required.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
