Main Street Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team and deliver high-quality patient care. Candidates must complete a one-year certified dental assistant program and hold X-ray certification; 1 year of experience is required.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, assisting dentists during procedures, taking X-rays, and maintaining patient records in a compliant, modern office.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• 1 year on-the-job experience.
• X-Ray certification - required.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply.

Main Street Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics is looking for a Dental Assistantin Glen Burnie, Maryland to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Position Overview:As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment.
