Dental One Associates in Maryland is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support our clinical team by providing high levels of patient care in a team-based environment. The role focuses on assisting with orthodontic procedures, maintaining treatment rooms, and ensuring patient comfort.

Candidates must have 2 years of dental assisting experience, X-ray certification, and a high school diploma. Expanded Functions Dental Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Position Overview: As a Orthodontic Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment.   • Full time: Tuesday (Columbia 8am-4:30pm) Wednesday and Thursday (Crosskeys 9am-5pm) Friday (Frederick 8:30-3pm)
