Job summary

Dental One Associates in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team in a team-based environment. Prior dental assisting experience is required, and a $2K sign-on bonus is offered with a part-time schedule on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, taking X-rays, assisting dentists, and educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection-control training are required to be maintained.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
• 1 year on-the-job experience
• X-Ray certification - Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
