Job summary

The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine seeks an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator, Clinic Operations, to support the orthodontic clinic team, residents, and front desk staff. You will coordinate treatment starts, track patient progress, and ensure smooth workflows.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations, you will monitor records, educate patients, facilitate referrals, and help standardize processes to improve efficiency and patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in a variety of computer applications and ability to support diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary coordinator for the orthodontic clinic, working with faculty, residents, dental assistants, front desk staff, and patients.
• Coordinate treatment starts and support patient progression through all phases of care.
• Monitor patient records and treatment workflows to identify delays, incomplete requirements, or barriers to care.
• Educate patients and facilitate consultations, referrals, records management, and other documentation for treatment progression.
• Support workflow standardization and process improvement to enhance clinic efficiency and patient experience.
• Assist leadership in monitoring operational performance, patient volume, scheduling efficiency, and other clinical needs; perform additional duties as assigned.
