Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group in Youngstown is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to support pediatric orthodontic care and create a fun, kid-friendly visit experience. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced dental office.

You’ll perform room preparation, assist during procedures, capture X-rays, and help maintain instruments while educating patients on oral hygiene. The position offers daytime hours with some Saturdays and a strong growth path.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice preferred, but we will train the right person.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid-friendly environment.

Requirements

Schedule

• Some Saturdays may be required
• Daytime hours - No nights!
