Job summary

Bright Start Dental in Florence, SC, part of Lone Peak Dental Group, seeks an Orthodontic Assistant who loves working with kids and making visits fun. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, take X-rays, and support a kid-friendly clinic environment.

We value reliability, energy, and compassion. This role offers daytime hours with no nights, opportunities to grow, and a supportive team dedicated to delivering excellent pediatric dental care.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an orthodontic practice preferred.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid-friendly environment.
