Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group in Cartersville, GA is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to support pediatric patients, assist orthodontists, and maintain a kid-friendly, efficient practice.

We offer a full-time schedule with some Saturdays, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth. Training is available for the right candidate with a passion for helping children smile confidently.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice preferred, but we will train the right person.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Additional certification or training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.

Requirements

• X-ray and CPR certification is required

• Full-time role (30+ hours per week).

A Typical Day As An Orthodontic Assistant

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid-friendly environment.

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts
• Some Saturdays may be required
• Daytime hours - No nights!
