Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group in Cartersville, GA is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant who loves working with kids and teens. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist the orthodontist during procedures, and help create a fun, stress-free visit for every patient.

This full-time role requires X-ray and CPR certification; previous orthodontic experience is preferred but training is available. Familiarity with Denticon or iTero is a plus, and you’ll join a supportive team dedicated to high-quality pediatric

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice preferred, but we will train the right person!
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X‑rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow‑up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid‑friendly environment.

Requirements

A Typical Day As An Orthodontic Assistant

• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow‑up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid‑friendly environment.

Schedule

• 8‑hour shifts
• Some Saturdays may be required
• Daytime hours – No nights!
