Job summary

Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in East Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient chair-side support and high-quality care to our patients. You will report to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant and join a team focused on underserved children.

Pay ranges from $24 to $31 per hour, with benefits including paid time off, holidays, and comprehensive insurance options. This on-site position offers growth opportunities within the practice and the region as we expand access

Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills and friendly, outgoing demeanor.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks in a timely manner.
• Previous experience in a dental office preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification is required.
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthodontist with excellent chair-side assistance by fitting bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner.
• Collect and record patient medical history in Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and experience for patients and their families.
• Ensure the practice is clean and presentable to patients (restrooms, lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting).
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
