Job summary

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care. You will report to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant and support the orthodontist during procedures, manage patient records in the EHR system, and collaborate with the team to create a positive patient experience.

The role includes maintaining clinic cleanliness and assisting with duties that support care for underserved children.

Qualifications

• Radiology education meets state requirements.
• Friendly, outgoing demeanor and active listening to patients and parents.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks on time.
• Experience in a dental office is preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist chair-side with bands, bonding, archwires, appliances.
• Record patient medical history in EHR system.
• Collaborate to provide high-quality care for patients and families.
• Keep the practice clean and presentable, including restrooms and lobby areas.
• Support missions of high-quality, compassionate dental services for underserved children.

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, NM are currently seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care to our patients. This position will report to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant.

Pay range: $17-$25/hr (AND BONUS OPPORTUNITY)

Job Responsibilities

• Provide orthodontist with excellent chair-side assistance by fitting orthodontic bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner
• Collect and record patient medical history in Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system
• Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and experience for our patients and their families
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Minimum Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
